PURPOSE OF THE 360 DEGREE APPRAISAL AND HOW IT WORKS
A 360 degree appraisal is a type of employee performance review in which line managers, peers, internal customers and direct reports all anonymously rate the employee. The employee also rates themselves against the same criteria.
The 360 degree process is different, in that it obtains feedback from co-workers and subordinates, instead of just from the direct supervisor. This information is then incorporated into that person's performance review.

This 360 degree appraisal module measures three Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) within the Key Result Area (KRA) - Encouraging and creating a supportive work environment and positive work culture:
- A positive, productive and proactive attitude is displayed.
- Behaviour is in line with the business code of conduct.
- Creating a high integrity workplace, including protecting the image and integrity of the company.
You as the Appraiser will be required to rate the Appraised (employee identified to be rated by yourself) on selected KRA's and associated KPI’s using the following rating system:

There are a series of different 360 degree appraisals (appraisal modules) within this company:
- Company Culture
- Personal Development
- Operational Efficiency
This appraisal module covers the JEP (Job Efficiency Profile) Category of Company Culture.
Company culture is made up of the values, beliefs, underlying assumptions, attitudes, and behaviours shared by a group of people. Company culture is the behaviour that results when a group arrives at a set of generally unspoken and unwritten rules, for working together.
A positive work culture is one with clear vision and purpose and where staff are aware of their individual contribution. This enables staff to be engaged with the success of the company.
